Downer has announced it has been awarded a contract by BELECTRIC Solar and Battery GmbH to build innogy SE's 349 MW Limondale Solar Farm located in southern New South Wales.
Located around 14km south from the town of Balranald, the solar farm will consist of approximately 800,000 panels covering an area of between 750 and 1,000 ha. Once built, it is expected to be the largest solar farm in Australia.
Notice to proceed has been issued to Downer, and construction is expected to be complete in 2020.
