The Government of Denmark has sealed a framework agreement to build a wind energy hub on an artificial island in the North Sea that could have about 10 GW generating capacity.
Phase I of the project represents about DKK210 billion (US$33.9 billion) of investment. The artificial island will be located about 80 km off Denmark's west coast with around 12 hectares in size.
The energy hub is expected to be operational by 2033.
