The Government of Denmark, through the Danish Energy Agency (DEA), has approved the development of the 604.8 MW offshore wind farm in Baltic Sea.
DEA has consented and issued an environmental impact assessment (EIA) permit to Swedish utility Vattenfall that will develop the Kriegers Flak Offshore Wind Farm project.
The wind farm will consist of 72 Siemens Gamesa 167- 84 MW wind turbines. The construction of the project will start once the four-week period for challenging DEA’s decision is over. Once operational, the wind project is expected to generate enough energy to power up to 600,000 homes.
