Decmil Group Ltd and RJE Global have been awarded the balance of plant (BOP) contract for the related construction activities in the 218 MW Ryan Corner wind farm project located in Victoria.
The wind farm is currently under development by Snowy Hydro and GPG, a joint venture of Naturgy Energy Group, SA (75%), and the Kuwait Investment Authority (25%). The project will be built approximately 300 km from Melbourne, Australia, and consists of 52 V136-4.2MW wind turbines.
The contract worth AUD71 million (US$51.8 million) covers the design and construction of the civil and electrical balance of plant and the wind turbine bases, access tracks, site cabling, and a switch room. The construction of the site is set to begin in December 2020 with the target completion by the end of 2021.
