CATS Management Limited (CML) has announced that its subsidiary Humber Gathering System Limited (HGSL) and Dana Petroleum will jointly fund, construct and own a minimal facilities platform and a new gas export pipeline for the newly-sanctioned Tolmount Main gas field, located in the Southern North Sea.
The Tolmount infrastructure, known as the Humber Gathering System (HGS), will transport gas to the Easington gas terminal in East Yorkshire (north-east England), owned by Centrica. HGSL and Dana will also jointly undertake some onshore modifications at the terminal that are required to enable it to receive and process gas from HGS.
The EPCIC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation & Commissioning) contract for the platform has been awarded to Rosetti Marino. Saipem has been selected as the pipeline EPCI contractor.
The partners in the Tolmount gas field are Premier (50%, operator) and Dana Petroleum (50%). Premier will pay a tariff for the transportation and processing of Tolmount gas through the HGS.
The Tolmount Main project now moves into the execution phase with construction works scheduled to start later this year. First gas is targeted for Q4 2020. The field is expected to produce around 500 billion cubic feet of gas with peak production up to 300 million standard cubic feet per day.
