Cube Green Energy signed an agreement to acquire the 28 MW Maiden wind projects located in two German states. The operational wind farms are comprised of 17 wind turbine generators and have an average life span of 21 years.
Cube Green Energy will upgrade and repower the projects' current technology to increase site energy generation. The company will collaborate with local stakeholders to optimize storage sites for utility-scale batteries to address renewable energy intermittency. Storage solutions will make renewable energy a viable option for local consumers and industrial users who need a 24/7 electricity supply. When completely implemented, energy capacity and generation at the sites are anticipated to triple.
