Cox Energy to build 308 solar PV complex in Chile

Cox Energy has obtained authorization from the Environmental Assessment Service to install a new photovoltaic solar plant in Chile of 308 megawatts and whose investment will amount to EUR240 million (US$273 million).

Specifically, this project is integrated into the El Sol de Vallenar complex, one of the group's large facilities in Chile, which will begin construction in 2020. The plant will be located in the Atacama Region, Commune of Vallenar, in Chile, and will begin its construction in 2020.

The photovoltaic installation will generate an energy of more than 700 gigawatt hours per year, enough to cover the needs of 150,000 families.
