Cosmic PV Power is expanding its operations by constructing a new 600 MW solar panel manufacturing facility in the Indian state of Gujarat. The highly-automated facility is scheduled to start production in June and will be capable of producing modules with outputs in the range of 550 Wp to 600 Wp, with a focus on multi-busbar mono PERC and bifacial modules. It will also be equipped with cutting-edge HJT and TOPCon technology.
The new facility will bolster Cosmic PV’s annual manufacturing capacity, increasing it from the current 250 MW to a total of 850 MW. The company has ambitious plans to expand further, aiming for a cumulative production capacity of 1.4 GW by 2024. The increased manufacturing capacity is expected to address the growing demand for sustainable, cost-effective energy alternatives and to establish India as one of the leading solar power markets in the world.
Cosmic PV’s commitment to renewable energy reflects the growing importance of green energy sources in meeting the world’s energy challenges. Such developments not only serve to expand the global manufacturing capacity for solar panels but also support the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, promote energy security, and help to mitigate climate change.
