Teralight has completed the largest floating PV project, deploying 31 MW of capacity on two water reservoirs in the northern part of Israel.
This floating PV system spans across two water resources within the kibbutz, covering a combined area of 350,000 sq m. It hovers above the Maayan Zvi reservoirs, which supply water for agricultural purposes in the southern coastal region near Haifa. The project incorporated solar tracking systems (trackers) from the Israeli company Xfloat. This endeavor was conducted as part of an initiative led by the Carmel Coast Regional Council to cover waterways and reservoirs with solar infrastructure. The estimated Ma'ayan Tzvi project cost was US$33.8 million was a collaborative effort between Israel's S'energy Group and the Hof HaCarmel Water Association.
