CNOOC connects the 300 MW offshore wind project in Jiangsu

CNOOC Limited has connected the first batch of turbines of 300 MW offshore wind farm to the grid and started to generate power.

 The project is located 39 kilometers off the coast of Jiangsu Province, with a water depth of 12 meters. The project is planned to be equipped with 67 wind turbines.

The project is scheduled to fully come into on-grid production by the end of 2020, with its annual on-grid power generation expected to reach approximately 860 million kWh and offset up to CO2 emissions by 571,000 tons per year.

CNOOC Limited holds the 47% interest in the jointly developed offshore wind power project in Jiangsu Province.
