Chint Solar has announced that its 103 MWp Midden-Groningen Solar Park at Sappemeer is connected to TenneT’s high voltage grid network and commenced full operations.

The solar project has entered the construction phase in February 2019 and completed in October.

Chint Solar features 315.000 High-quality panels, produced by Chint Solar’s sister company Astronergy, on 117 hectares of land in the municipality of Groningen, in the northern part of the Netherlands. The solar park will be officially opened in 2020 and expected to supply renewable electricity to about 32.000 households.

Chint Solar acquired the project from Powerfield in early 2017, which started developing it in 2015.
