China has commissioned a 200 MW/400 MWh standalone energy storage project in Ningxia, the largest of its kind in the country up to this moment. ROBESTEC provides the energy storage systems that incorporate Hithium's LFP energy storage batteries.

This project stores solar and wind energy using Hithium batteries. It regulates frequency and peak based on electrical grid loads. When grid demand is high, the stored energy can be distributed to residences and businesses.

This project's storage capacity can provide electricity for 300 houses for an entire year. The energy storage devices can cut coal use and CO2 emissions by 501,000 tons per year.
