Baker Hughes has signed a 10-year renewable energy supply agreement with 100 percent of electricity from 500 MW White Mesa Wind farm and 176.8 MWp Talitha solar farm in Texas.
The agreement from the 500 MW White Mesa wind farm and the 176.8 MWp Talitha solar farm, the deal is designed in collaboration with Energy Edge Consulting and EDF Energy Services. The White Mesa wind project is owned and developed by Apex Clean Energy, located in Crockett county. In contrast, the Talitha solar project is owned and produced by 7X Energy, located in Jim Wells country.
The agreement eliminates 12 percent of Baker Hughes's global carbon equivalent emissions, resulting in a reduction of 1.2 million metric tons of CO2 eq. Emissions over the 10-year term of the agreement.
