Axpo has signed a 10-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Sparbanken Skåne solar park currently being developed by Svea Solar.

Svea Solar develops the 18 MW Sparbanken Skåne solar park in the municipality of Sjöbo, Southern Sweden. The country’s largest solar park, which is an extension to an existing park nearby, is currently under construction and will be connected to the grid this summer.

The Sparbanken Skåne solar park is expected to produce around 19 GWh of energy per year, which corresponds to the average electricity consumption of 4,000 households in Sweden.
