Axpo has signed a new power purchase agreement (PPA) with Slough Multifuel Ltd. for the 50 MW energy-from-waste plant located at the Slough Trading Estate in Berkshire, England.
The project is currently under construction and expected to reach commercial operation by 2025. The energy-from-waste plant can handle up to 450,000 tonnes of waste-derived fuels annually. The waste is diverted away from landfills and instead is used as a valuable source of energy.
Slough Multifuel Ltd. is co-owned by SSE Thermal and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners.
