Aura Power secures planning permit for 50 MW solar project in Cirencester

The Cotswold District Council and Wiltshire Council in England have approved the planning permission for the development of a 50 MW ground-mounted solar photovoltaic project near Kemble in Cirencester. 

The project is promoted by Aura Power and Bathurst Estate. The construction of the solar farm is expected to start in 2023. New trees and hedgerows will form part of a comprehensive landscaping scheme around the site which will result in a Biodiversity Net Gain of 35%.
