Aura Power Renewables has divested its 39 MW Empress solar project in eastern Alberta to Canadian Utilities, part of ATCO.
Aura Power has developed the solar project by acquiring the land rights, safeguarding grid connection ability and also acquiring the authorizations required to construct the advancement. The Empress project features 85,000 single-axis bifacial tracking panels and produces enough power to meet the consumption needs of over 11,000 homes each year.
Project construction is underway with business procedures expected in 2022.
