Assystem has signed two new Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of Energy and the National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan to modernize its energy industry and target Net Zero carbon emissions by 2050. This energy transition entails using nuclear power and 25% renewable energy by 2026.
The MOU with the Ministry of Energy includes nuclear power development collaboration. Owner Engineering services, including site characterization and monitoring, environmental and social impact evaluations, licensing support, construction management, and commissioning, are possible collaborations.
The second MOU with the National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan could involve creating an intelligent and fully digital electrical grid network. This would transform a dynamic and efficient system for emerging economies with increasing electricity demand. This MOU also involves training for these new systems and project management, where Assystem draws from its wider group.
