Ara Partners buys Earth Energy Renewables

Earth Energy Renewables (EER) has been acquired by Ara Partners, a global private equity firm focused on industrial decarbonization, as a result of a §363 sale process out of chapter 11 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. Eric B. Terry was the Subchapter V Operating Trustee for the Estate on the transaction.

EER is a pre-revenue biomass company that creates high-value green alternatives to petroleum-based products. The company produces high yields of very pure, bio-based carboxylic acids from sustainable organic wastes such as food waste and other negative-cost wastes. 

CohnReznick Capital acted as the exclusive Investment Banker, Macco Restructuring Group acted as Financial Advisors and Chamberlain Hrdlicka in Houston acted as counsel to the Trustee.
