Clēnera and Wolverine Power Cooperative have signed a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) between Wolverine and Clēnera’s affiliate, Gemstone Solar LLC.
The 150 MW Gemstone Solar project is located approximately 1,000 acres of land in Cass County, Michigan. Clēnera, a subsidiary of Enlight Renewable Energy LTD, will manage the construction and operation of Gemstone Solar.
Construction is expected to begin in the spring of 2023. Once commercially operational by the end of 2023, the Gemstone Solar project will generate 150 MWac of clean energy to Wolverine’s members, generating enough energy to supply more than 24,000 Michigan homes.
