ANIREP completes purchase of 70% stakes in Hopsol Power Generation (Pty) Ltd

Alpha Namibia Industries Renewable Energy Power Limited (ANIREP) has completed the acquisition of a 70% stakes in Hopsol Power Generation (Pty) Ltd. 

Hopsol Power Generation (Pty) Ltd. is a Namibian special purpose vehicle that is formed from the partnership of HopSol Africa Construction, a subsidiary of the Swiss developer HopSol AG, and the Namibian Ouyelele Company. The company owns two 5-MW solar photovoltaic plants in Namibia that have been in operation in 2015 and 2016. Each of the projects secures 25-year power purchase deal. 

ANIREP has closed the deal with NAD88.6 million (US$5.1 million) of investment.
