Koppö Energia, a joint venture between Prime Capital and CPC Finland, has chosen global technology group ANDRITZ to conduct the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) for a 200 MW green hydrogen production project in Finland.
With the FEED phase complete, the joint venture aims to initiate the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) process for the green hydrogen production plant at the start of 2024. The plant's hydrogen production will rely on renewable energy, predominantly derived from wind power. To meet the electricity demands of the green hydrogen plant, the Koppö Energy Cluster will additionally develop up to 500 MW of wind power and 100 MW of photovoltaic power.
Located in Kristinestad, the plant forms an integral part of a Power-to-X project. The FEED work by ANDRITZ will encompass the entire hydrogen plant and integrate HydrogenPro's alkaline electrolyzer technology.
