Alten Energias Renovables inaugurates the 13 MWp Alten El Casar solar photovoltaic park built in a 28.35 hectares of land in the municipality of El Casar, Guadalajara, Castile-La Mancha, Spain.
The solar park cost a total investment of EUR8 million (US$8.78 million) and consists of 34,713 PV modules mounted on 479 solar trackers.
The solar park is expected to generate electricity about 25,595 MWh per year, equivalent to the average annual consumption of 7,300 households.
Construction work was entrusted to Grupo Ortiz, which is also a shareholder in the solar plant.
