Alcazar Energy, a renewable energy company based in the Arab region, in partnership with Hecate Energy, has started the operation of its 45 MW wind farm located in a village near Al Shobak in Jordan.
The facility consists of 13 Vestas V136-3.45MW wind turbines. The development of the wind farm is supported by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD), and the Europe Arab Bank.
The project will generate power for an estimated lifespan of 35 years.
