NRE International, Inc. (NREI), the developer of the Nevis Geothermal Project on Nevis in the Caribbean, in cooperation with the Nevis Island Administration, has chosen Albioma as a partner for the development of the Nevis geothermal project.

The Nevis Geothermal Project is a planned 10 MW geothermal generating plant located on the Island of Nevis, Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis. The Nevis Island Administration is a partner and co-developer of the project with NREI. The geothermal plant will enable the island to transition away from the use of fossil fuels and be 100 percent reliant on zero-emissions renewable energy for power supply.

Schlumberger Integrated Drilling Services will be conducting the installation and completion of the production and injection wells. GeothermEx has produced the well designs and will carry out the well and reservoir testing upon completion of the wells by Schlumberger. The plant construction and system integration will be carried out by Clemessy, a member of the French-based Eiffage Energy Systems Group. Owner’s representative services, quality control and inspections will be provided by Power Engineers.

NREI is a subsidiary of Thermal Energy Partners, LLC, a geothermal energy development firm based in Austin, Texas.
