The renewable energy unit of Akfen Holding has commenced the operation of its 26 MW Kocalar wind farm located in Çanakkale, a province in north-western Turkey on the Dardanelles Strait.
The facility is expected to generate up to 60,000 MWh of energy per year enough for the consumption of up to 120,000 consumers annually and offsets about 48,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.
