AES Tietê Energia has entered into an agreement to acquire three wind farms in Rio Grande do Norte with a combined capacity of 187 MW.
The deal with J Malucelli Energia SA and other unnamed shareholders is valued at approximately BRL650 million (US$122.8 million) including net debt. The payment will be made in two installments with an initial of BRL449 million (US$84.86 million).
The Ventus Wind Complex, consists of the 68.5 MW Miassaba 3, the 58.5 MW Brasventos Eolo, and the 60.1 MW Rei dos Ventos 3 wind parks, has been in operation since 2014. The power purchase deal with the wind farms is valid until May 31, 2034.
