The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Electricité du Cambodge (EDC) have connected the first 60 MW of the 100 MW National Solar Park project to the Cambodian national grid.
A 60 MW and 40 MW power generation tender was held internationally to bid out the power generation units to the private sector.
ADB provided comprehensive project support. This included supplying transmission interconnection infrastructure, roadways, and drainage systems; transaction advisory support and advice to EDC on the private investment component of the project; and structuring and mobilizing private sector funding for the 60 MW power plant.
