Ministry of Electricity and Energy of Egypt has requested ACWA Power to delay the commissioning of the 2,250 MW Dairut Combined Cycle Power Plant in the Luxor Governorate.
It was originally expected that the commencement of the simple-cycle operation will be in Summer 2022 and the combined-cycle operation in Summer 2023.
The new date for the commercial operation of the plant is now set to July 2024.
