ACME Solar Holdings, an Indian renewable energy developer, has commissioned a 200 MW solar power plant at Bhadla Solar Park, located in Rajasthan, north-west India. The company has invested INR9.8 billion (US$135 million) in setting up the plant.
Spanning 1,000 acres, the power plant is designed using the latest 1,500 V technology and features the world’s first 150% DC with a capacity utilization factor (CUF) of 30% to produce the most stable power during the day. Water-less cleaning of modules has been planned, taking into consideration the climate condition to enhance generation.
ACME won the project in the 500 MW Bhadla Phase-III Solar Park auction, quoting a tariff of INR2.44 (US$0.037)/kWh.
