ABO Wind has announced that it has completed the sale of a fully developed wind project located in Polusjärvi, in the Northern Ostrobothnia region of Finland, to Suomen Hyötytuuli.
The project has secured all the necessary permits for ten wind turbine generators with a total height of 235m each and grid capacity for up to 50 MW.
This is the first time that ABO Wind has sold a Finnish project prior to construction. The company, headquartered in Wiesbaden, Germany, has already developed and built five wind farms in the country, in Haapajärvi (2015 and 2017), Silovuori (2016), Ratiperä and Muntila (both 2017).
In addition to the project sold in Polusjärvi, ABO Wind's pipeline of projects in Finland includes a total 200 MW that are ready for construction. A further 300 MW are in the development phase.
