32.4 MW wind project in Ukraine enters construction phase

The Ukrainian Wind Energy Association has announced that a 32.4 MW wind project located in Odessa is now in the construction phase. The Ovid Wind project is owned by Güriş Inşaat ve Muhendislik, a subsidiary of Turkish conglomerate Güriş. The first three wind turbines (GE 3.6-131 with unit capacity of 3.6 MW, HH-131 m) were installed in late July 2018.

The commissioning of the wind farm is scheduled for the autumn of this year. It is the first phase of a planned 82.8 MW complex. Ovid Wind 2, with a planned capacity 50.4 MW, is currently in the process of obtaining permits.
