Scatec Solar has entered an agreement with Rengy Development to develop a 47 MW solar photovoltaic project located in the Mykolaiv region in the south of Ukraine. Scatec Solar will own 51% percent in the project while the remaining will be for Rengy Development.
Scatec Solar will also deliver the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) provider and provide Operation & Maintenance as well as Asset Management services to the power plants.
The project, lead financed by the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), will deliver power under a 10-year- Feed-in-tariff. Financial close and construction is expected to be achieved in 2018 and with the start of commercial operation by 2019.
Better Energy has signed a loan agreement with Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO) for the construction of the solar project. The half of the EUR 6.6 million (USD 7.7m) project worth will be from NEFCO and the remaining half will be from Better Energy
Jiangsu Seraphim Solar System has been commissioned to supply solar modules for the project. Delivery of the equipment is expected to be done by the end of August 2018
