Pacifico Energy has announced the commencement of construction of two solar power plants in Japan - the 112 MW(DC) Bizen plant located in Wake, Okayama Prefecture and the 72 MW(DC) Yumesaki plant located in Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture.
The Bizen plant is expected to commence operations in the spring of 2020. Once commissioned, the plant will generate approximately 132 million kWh of electricity annually, contributing to an annual reduction of approximately 90,000 tons of CO2 emissions. Chugoku Electric Power Co., Inc. will purchase all electricity generated by the plant.
Toyo Engineering Corporation has been selected to construct the Yumesaki plant, which is scheduled to be completed in the autumn of 2020. Once commissioned, the plant will generate approximately 84 million kWh of electricity annually, offsetting approximately 42,000 tons of CO2 emissions. Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc. has agreed to purchase all of the electricity generated by the plant.
