Norddeutsche Landesbank (NORD/LB) has provided JPY13 billion (US$117 million) financing to Saferay GmbH for the construction of a 50 MW photovoltaic solar park project in Hiroshima, Japan. The total project investment is estimated at around JPY 15 billion.
Saferay expects to complete construction of the solar project by first quarter of 2020. Once operational, the plant will have capacity to generate electricity to supply approximately 28,000 people, saving more than 25,500 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions per year.
