European Energy A/S has signed agreements for the sale of four wind farms in Denmark, Italy and Germany totalling around 64 MW of capacity.
The wind farm in Denmark has a gross capacity of 25.05MW and consists of 6 Vestas V117, 3.6MW turbines and 1 Vestas V126, 3.45MW turbine. The wind farm is located at Kappel in the municipality of Lolland. This facility will be sold to a fund managed by Aquila Capital.
The two wind farms in Germany, with a capacity of 6.6 MW and 12 MW respectively, are located in the German regions of Brandenburg and Lower Saxony and are scheduled to come into operation in April and July 2017, respectively. The purchaser of these projects is a German investor. Further information on these transaction has not been released.
The facility in Italy will also be acquired by an unknown German investor. The European Energy Group owns in total 50 which consists of a total of 10 Vestas V110-2MW turbines, with a total capacity of 20 MW.
Closing of the sales agreement will be subject to a number of customary conditions precedent, including long-term project financing of the project being in place.
The Nord Stream 2 project, being pursued by Gazprom, has taken another important step towards its implementation, responding to the need of the European Union for additional gas imports and thereby improving security of supplies to Europe.
