Germany's Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagetur) is launching a new 200 MW solar tender with a bid submission deadline of June 1.
The cap price for the auction has been set at €89.1 (US$84) per MWh. The auction is the second of its kind in 2017 with the first seeing bids fall as low as €60 per MWh.
As the Bundesnetzagetur pointed out, it will now allow participation of projects on arable land. "Pay-as-bid" model will be used for power take-off contracts.
Due to feed-in tariff (FiT) contracts are no longer available for big installations, solar and wind projects bigger than 750 kW have to compete in tenders to secure power purchase deals since the beginning of 2017.
