Clearway Energy Group and PacifiCorp have signed a 25-year power purchase agreements (PPAs) for two wind projects in the USA. The deal involves the 280 MW Two Rivers Wind project in Wyoming, and the 152 MW Cedar Creek Wind project in Idaho.
The Two Rivers facility, which was initially developed by Intermountain Wind, is expected to power over 100,000 homes annually, while Cedar Creek will supply electricity to approximately 41,000 homes per year. The wind projects are expected to generate a total of 450 jobs during construction and represents a US$500 million investment in Wyoming’s economy and U$250 million investment in Idaho’s economy.
The commercial operations of the two wind farms are anticipated to commence in 2024.
