REE Group

REE Corporation is a diversified Vietnamese business group founded in 1977, with operations spanning energy, water and environmental services, mechanical and electrical engineering, and real estate. The company was Vietnam’s first state-owned enterprise to be equitised in 1993 and became the first company listed on the country’s stock exchange in 2000. REE entered the renewable-energy sector in 2010 and has since developed a portfolio covering hydropower, wind and solar power, while also maintaining investments in thermal power. Its energy portfolio had 2,752 MW of gross generation capacity and 996 MW of equity-adjusted capacity in 2025. In addition, REE operates water and environmental businesses, provides engineering and M&E contracting services, and manages commercial office properties in Ho Chi Minh City. The company says its strategy is focused on developing long-term energy and infrastructure businesses and supporting Vietnam’s transition toward renewable energy and green infrastructure.
