wpd unit to start EIA for 126 MW Wind project in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Vjetroelektrane Dah Planine, a local unit of wpd, has requested the environment ministry of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Federation to allow the company to proceed with its preliminary environmental impact assessment (EIA) for the Marino Brdo wind project in Canton 10.

The 126 MW Marino Brdo project is planned to be constructed in the municipality of Bosansko Grahovo and will feature 21 units of the Siemens Gamesa SG 170-6 MW wind farms. The project is being designed to generate up to 360 GWh of clean energy once operational.

The wind farm is one of the projects that are planned for Canton 10, one of 10 cantons of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The wind farm was awarded to Wpd’s Sarajevo unit in July 2022.
