Welsh Minister overturns the rejection of the development of the 7-turbine wind farm. The turbines will connect into the local distribution network at Llandridnod Wells. Each turbine rise to be 110 meter high and could produce 2.5 MW maximum capacity. Hendy Wind Farm Ltd is bringing forward plans for the seven wind turbines, with a maximum capacity of 2.5MW each, on land east of Llandrindod Wells.
Njord Energy will build the wind project. The wind farm could generate enough energy and meet the demands for around 9,800 homes every year if built.
The lifetime of the wind farm (25 years), the scheme could deliver around £2m for investment in local community projects.
