The joint-venture of Mirus Wind and Energy Estate, Walcha Energy, has launches an energy market participant for large-scale energy storage capacity and services which will be made available from the Dungowan PHES projects and the Uralla RE Hub BESS in New South Wales in Australia.
The Dungowan PHES projects include three facilities of up to 500 MW each with 6-8 hours of storage. It will be developed in 45 km southwest of Tamworth in New South Wales. The Uralla RE Hub Battery Storage consists of 100-500 MW with 1 to 6 hours storage. It will be developed in 10 km northwest of Uralla. The projects are expected to be delivered by 2025 and 2023, respectively.
The deadline for the submission of interest in the tender is on July 17, 2020.
