Voltalia has started the commercial operation of the 8.16 MW Carrieres-des-Plaines solar photovoltaic project located in the municipality of Alleins, Department of Bouches-du-Rhone in the southeastern region of Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur, France.
The facility consists of crystalline photovoltaic (PV) panels and concentrator PV modules that can generate enough energy for the consumption of more than 4,500 individuals.
The project secured a 20-year power purchase deal with an undisclosed company.
