The Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy of Tunisia has launched a tender inviting developers to submit proposals for the development of a 300 MW photovoltaic solar power project integrated with a 150 MW/540 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS).
The project will be carried out under a concession agreement within the framework of Tunisia’s national renewable energy development programme. It is planned to be built on a 440-hectare site in Bazma, in the Kebili governorate, an area recognised for its strong solar energy potential.
According to the ministry, the tender documents and any related addenda will be sent by email to developers who register through the official AO 01-2026 registration portal. The registration window will remain open until May 8, 2026. The government has set October 14, 2026, at 12:00 PM (Tunis time) as the final deadline for the submission of bids.
The initiative forms part of Tunisia’s broader strategy to accelerate renewable energy deployment, strengthen grid stability through energy storage integration, and expand the country’s solar power generation capacity.
