Toshiba Energy Systems & Solutions Corp (Toshiba ESS) has secured an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for the development of the 147 MW wind project in Miyagi prefecture owned by Thai Solar Energy PCL.
Toshiba ESS will install about 362,960 solar panels for the Onikoube Solar Power Plant in a 156-hectare (385.5 acres) land area in Osaki City. The project is expected to be operational by December 2022.
Thai Solar Energy PCL is set to invest JPY35.5 billion (US$328.5 million) in the project.
