The Taiwan Power Co (Taipower) has signed a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Swancor Holding Co for its 376 MW Formosa 2 offshore wind project located off the coast of Miaoli County, western Taiwan.
The project is co-developed with Australia’s Macquarie Group Ltd. It is estimated that the facility can generate enough power for up to 380,000 homes per year.
The Formosa 2 offshore wind project is part of the wind complex in the country. It follows the Formosa 1 project with a capacity of 128 MW.
