Taaleri Energia, together with Etec Automation and its subsidiary 3Flash Finland, has developed the 129 MWp Hallanvahti solar park in Joroinen, North Savo, Finland, with Eltel Networks providing EPC and operations and maintenance services.

The Taaleri SolarWind III Fund invested in the Hallanvahti project in February 2025, with the 129 MWp solar power plant commencing operations at the end of June 2026. The facility comprises approximately 204,000 bifacial, single-axis tracking solar panels and is expected to produce around 140 GWh of electricity annually, making Hallanvahti one of Finland’s largest solar power plants. Its annual generation is equivalent to the electricity consumption of approximately 18,000 Finnish households. The Hallanvahti solar project is fully owned by funds managed by Taaleri Energia.

Hallanvahti stands out for being developed in challenging terrain, with the approximately 200-hectare solar park built on drained peatland covered by a peat layer. The project is designed to preserve the peat layer throughout both construction and the solar park’s operational lifetime, while ensuring effective management of water flows. Despite the demanding site conditions, the necessary investigations and construction activities were completed according to plan.

The project was developed in collaboration with Taaleri Energia by Etec Automation and its subsidiary 3Flash Finland. Eltel Networks was responsible for the project’s engineering, procurement and construction and will provide maintenance services for the solar park. The project has a long-term power purchase agreement with Oulun Energia and project financing from SEB. The European Union supports the activities through the InvestEU Fund. The project has also received funding from the European Union’s NextGenerationEU instrument.
