German asset manager Aquila Capital Investmentgesellschaft mbH has signed a five-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Statkraft AS for the 50 MW Albeniz solar photovoltaic project in Spain.
The construction of the solar farm has started in January 2021. It is currently being developed in Almeria, south-eastern Spain.
Once enters commercial operation, the project is expected to save up to 33,000 tonnes of carbon emission.
