SOWI Kosovo is planning to invest EUR 169 million for the 105 MW wind project in Mitrovica. The company is a German-Kosovo renewable energy joint venture, a full-service provider whose expertise is the design, construction, financing, and operation of renewable energy facilities.

The project is planned to have 30 onshore wind turbines. Currently, the government is reviewing the project.

KOSTT and SOWI Kosovo, in May 2018, signed an agreement on connecting the wind farm, called Selaci 1, 2 and 3, to the power grid. KOSTT is Kosovo’s transmission system operator (TSO). The project is expected to be operational in 2020.
