Southern Power, a subsidiary of Southern Company, has started the commercial operation of its 118 MW Glass Sand Wind Farm project located in Murray County in Oklahoma, USA.
The project was initially developed by Steelhead Americas, a unit of Vestas Wind Systems A/S. The wind farm consists of 28 turbines supplied by Vestas.
The project now operates under a power purchase agreement (PPA) with e-commerce giant Amazon.com Inc.
